Stumbling around Tumblr happens to be my current digital obsession. It seems as though I'm spending more time perusing Tumblr blogs lately than any other social media platform. I find the creative and collaborative capabilities of this emerging micro-blogging craze inspiring. Case in point, UrbaneHood. Here's a really cool spot that gives photographers street cred. That is, if your work catches the blog administrators' eyes.

Jay Diers is at it again! The young photographer from Iowa took a chance looking into American motel rooms and surprises us anew with unusually intimate, warm-hearted and yet in-your-face portraits. The bored farm boys of the American Midwest seem as if they've just been waiting for their chance to finally show themselves to the world! And so they pose, beguile with their young bodies and seem to be saying just one thing - "Take me!"
